dc.description.abstractThis Country Climate and Development Report (CCDR) aims to support DRC's efforts to achieve its development goals within a changing climate by quantifying the impacts of climate change on the economy and highlighting policies and interventions needed to strengthen the country's climate resilience on many different levels. The report captures the interplay between DRC's development, climate challenges, and climate policies, with the objective of identifying synergies and tradeoffs. The CCDR supports the strategic vision of the Government of DRC as articulated in its 2030 National Strategic Development Plan ("Plan National Stratégique de Développement" (PNSD)) to reach middle-income country (MIC) status by 2035, and by 2050, become a diversified inclusive economy spurred by sustainable growth. It identifies the priorities needed in order to launch the most impactful, cost-effective actions to boost adaptation, build resilience, and foster low-carbon growth, while delivering on broader development goals. These are critical objectives, especially in fragile countries such as the DRC.en
dc.description.abstractLe présent Rapport national sur le climat et le développement (CCDR) vise à soutenir les efforts de la RDC pour atteindre ses objectifs de développement dans le contexte d'un climat en évolution, en quantifiant les effets du changement climatique sur l'économie et en mettant en évidence les politiques et interventions nécessaires pour renforcer la résilience du pays au changement climatique, et ce à plusieurs niveaux. Le rapport présente l'interaction entre le développement de la RDC, les défis climatiques et les politiques climatiques, dans le but d'identifier les synergies et les compromis. Le CCDR soutient la vision stratégique du Gouvernement de la RDC telle qu'exprimée dans son « Plan National Stratégique de Développement (PNSD) 2030 » d'atteindre le statut de pays à revenu intermédiaire (PRI) d'ici à 2035 et de devenir une économie diversifiée et inclusive d'ici à 2050 stimulée par la croissance durable. Le rapport identifie les priorités nécessaires afin d'initier les actions les plus efficaces et les plus efficientes pour stimuler l'adaptation, renforcer la résilience et favoriser une croissance à faible émission de carbone, tout en ciblant des objectifs de développement plus larges. Il s'agit d'objectifs essentiels, en particulier dans les pays fragiles comme la RDC.fr
