dc.description.abstract	As Colombia navigates a complex path toward a richer and more equitable future, the country faces three critical climate transitions. First, it will need to transit from a climate‑vulnerable to a more climate‑resilient economy. Second, guided by its Long‑Term Climate Strategy (LTS) and strong legal framework, which place it among the climate‑goal leaders of the Latin America region, the country will need to navigate a transition to a net zero greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions economy in the context of its stated goal for 2050. Third, in a world that will demand increasingly less of Colombia's primary exports—oil and coal—and more green products, it will need to engineer a transition in its economic model. This Country Climate and Development Report (CCDR) explores the opportunities for, and challenges to, achieving Colombia’s development goals and its ambitious climate commitments, as well as the complementarities between the two. It explores how climate change and climate action would affect the country’s growth and development and, in turn, how growth and development challenges would affect the achievement of its climate ambitions. The CCDR also investigates complementarities—specifically, how climate action could help Colombia achieve its development objectives, capture opportunities, support a just and inclusive transition, and protect its economy against longer‑term risks from climate change and from the world’s transition toward net zero GHG emissions.	en
dc.description.abstract	Mientras recorre un camino complejo hacia un futuro más rico y equitativo, Colombia enfrenta tres transiciones climáticas cruciales. En primer lugar, deberá transitar de una economía vulnerable al cambio climático a una economía resiliente ante dicho fenómeno. En segundo lugar, guiado por su estrategia climática a largo plazo y su sólido marco jurídico, que lo sitúan entre los líderes regionales en materia de objetivos climáticos en América Latina, el país deberá efectuar la transición hacia una economía de cero emisiones netas de gases de efecto invernadero (GEI) en el contexto de su objetivo declarado para 2050. En tercer lugar, en un mundo que demandará cada vez menos los productos que Colombia más exporta (petróleo y carbón) y cada vez más productos con bajo contenido de carbono, deberá diseñar un esquema de transición como parte de su modelo económico. El presente informe sobre el clima y el desarrollo del país (CCDR, por su sigla en inglés) analiza las oportunidades y desafíos de Colombia con respecto al cumplimiento de sus objetivos de desarrollo y sus ambiciosos compromisos climáticos, así como las relaciones entre ambos aspectos. Se analiza de qué manera el cambio y la acción climáticos afectarían el crecimiento y el desarrollo del país y, a su vez, de qué manera los desafíos en materia de crecimiento y desarrollo afectarían el logro de sus ambiciones climáticas. También investiga cómo la acción climática podría ayudar a Colombia a alcanzar sus objetivos de desarrollo, aprovechar las oportunidades, apoyar una transición justa e inclusiva, y proteger su economía contra los riesgos a largo plazo derivados del cambio climático y de la transición global hacia una economía con cero emisiones netas de GEI.	es
