The COVID-19 pandemic contributed to a rapid rise in e-commerce and delivery services, creating labor supply challenges in many markets. Digital logistics platform Shadowfax offers fast ‘hyperlocal’ delivery of food, pharmaceuticals and e-commerce products by linking self-employed drivers with businesses in more than 2,500+ Indian cities. Shadowfax has grown rapidly since it was launched in 2015, and by using inclusive employment practices it expects to increase its number of delivery partners from 135,000 to over 3.5 million by 2024.en
