dc.description.abstract | The purpose of this paper is to provide an overview of what matters most for building a more effective student assessment system. The focus is on systems for assessing student learning and achievement at the primary and secondary levels. The paper extracts principles and guidelines from countries' experiences, professional testing standards, and the current research base. The goal is to provide national policy makers, education ministry officials, development organization staff, and other stakeholders with a framework and key indicators for diagnosis, discussion, and consensus building around how to construct a sound and sustainable student assessment system that will support improved education quality and learning for all. | en |
dc.description.abstract | La constitution de systèmes éducatifs solides permettant de promouvoir l’apprentissage est essentielle au développement et à la croissance économique. Au cours des dernières années, tandis que les pays en voie de développement sont parvenus à bâtir davantage de classes et scolariser des millions d’enfants supplémentaires, la communauté éducative a commencé à épouser la perspective d’un apprentissage mesurable pour tous les enfants scolarisés. Cependant, l’apprentissage dépend non seulement des ressources investies dans le système scolaire, mais également de la qualité des politiques et institutions permettant leur utilisation, ainsi que de la bonne mise en œuvre de ces politiques. Ce document a pour objectif de présenter les éléments essentiels à la création d’un système d’évaluation des élèves efficace. Il est axé sur les systèmes d’évaluation de l’apprentissage et des acquis des élèves aux niveaux primaire et secondaire. Il tire ses principes et directives de l’expérience des pays, des normes professionnelles de test et de l’état actuel des recherches. Le but est de fournir aux décideurs nationaux, aux représentants des ministères de l’éducation, au personnel des organisations de développement, ainsi qu’aux autres parties prenantes, un cadre et des indicateurs clés pour le diagnostic, la discussion et la création d’un consensus autour des modalités de constitution d’un système d’évaluation des élèves sain et durable, susceptible de contribuer à une meilleure qualité de l’éducation et à l’apprentissage pour tous. | fr |
