Biography
Veronica holds a Master in Economics from Universitat Pompeu Fabra and a Ph.D. in Economics from University of Sussex. She has been working at ECLAC, United Nations since 2012. First at the Social Development Division, and then as the Director of the Office in Montevideo. Prior to that, she worked for fifteen years as a researcher at Instituto de Economía, at Universidad de la República. Her main research interests are in labor markets, poverty, inequality and social policies. She has written and researched extensively on these topics for Uruguay and Latin America.
