authorProfile.biography | Marc DeFrancis is an independent writer and editor based in Baltimore, Maryland; his specialty is working with authors in international development and social sciences research. He has undertaken editing projects for a variety of programs at the World Bank since 2007, predominantly in public health, early childhood education, and climate change response and mitigation. Other clients have included the National Academy of Science’s Division of Behavioral and Social Sciences and Education, the International Monetary Fund, and the Brookings Institution. He has gained direct knowledge of life in a traditional agrarian society from his time as a volunteer with the United States Peace Corps in Tonga. He has a BA in the humanities and an MAT in English from the University of Chicago. | |
