Person: Pfutze, Tobias
authorProfile.biography | Tobias Pfutze is a former senior economist in the Office of the Chief Economist for the World Bank’s East Asia and Pacific Region and associate professor of economics at Florida International University. He is an applied microeconomist with an interest in social protection policies, land tenure systems, and institutional economics. He has also held academic positions at Georgetown University, American University, and Oberlin College and worked as a consultant for the World Bank and the United Nations Development Programme. His research has been published in leading peer-reviewed journals, including the <i>Journal of Development Economics</i>, <i>Journal of Economic Behavior & Organization</i>, <i>Economic Development and Cultural Change</i>, and <i>World Development</i>. He completed his undergraduate studies at Humboldt University in Berlin and Pompeu Fabra University in Barcelona. He holds a doctorate in economics from New York University. | |
