authorProfile.biography | Charlotte de Fontaubert was Global Lead for the Blue Economy and is now Senior Fisheries Specialist in the World Bank’s Global Practice on the Environment, Natural Resources and the Blue Economy. Her work focusses on fisheries, the impacts of climate change on marine and coastal ecosystems, and the sustainable development of other oceanic sectors. She has co-authored some of the World Bank’s seminal work on fisheries (The Sunken Billions Revisited, Climate Change and Marine Fisheries in Africa: Assessing Vulnerability and Strengthening Adaptation Capacity) and the blue economy (Riding the Blue Wave : Applying the Blue Economy Approach to World Bank Operations). Over the last three years, she has led the World Bank’s work on fisheries subsidies and co-wrote the chapter on fisheries subsidies in The Changing Wealth of Nations. Prior to joining the World Bank she worked at IUCN for 15 years and held various academic positions, authoring numerous books and peer-reviewed articles. | |
