The indicators cover four areas of business regulation and their enforcement: starting a business, registering property, getting credit (registering collateral) and enforcing contracts. These indicators were selected because they cover areas of state and municipal jurisdiction. The indicators are used to analyze the economic outcomes of the regulations and to identify what reforms have been successful, where and why.en-USCC BY-NC-ND 3.0 IGObusiness growthBusiness indicatorscitiesgood practiceincomeLatin Americanlicenseslocal governmentsmayorsMiddle Eastmunicipal electionsmunicipal governmentsmunicipal levelmunicipalitiesNorth AfricapayrollPoverty ReductionprocurementpublicsalesSlumsstate courtsstate governmentsstate lawSub-Saharan Africatax ratesDoing Business in Mexico 2007World Bank10.1596/13422
