The first volume is subtitled Key issues for a pro- development outcome of the Doha Round, and it is focused on specific concerns that are being encountered in the agricultural negotiations, and on strategies for dealing with them to arrive at a final agreement that will significantly spur growth and reduce poverty in developing countries. The companion volume is subtitled Quantifying the impact of multilateral trade reform. It comprises chapters that take different approaches to modeling trade reform and quantifying the resulting benefits and costs to various players in the negotiations. The study explains the differences in results that come out of these different approaches, and compares them to some other recent estimates of the gains from global trade reform.en-USCC BY 3.0 IGOAgreement on AgricultureAgricultural Commoditiesagricultural developmentagricultural export subsidiesagricultural exportersAgricultural NegotiationsAgricultural PoliciesAgricultural ProductionAgricultural Productsagricultural sectoragricultural subsidiesAgricultural SupportAgricultural Support PoliciesAgricultural TradeAgricultural Trade LiberalizationAgricultureapplicable lawAverage Tariffsbalance of paymentsbarriers to exportsbarriers to importsbilateral negotiationsborder measuresBorder ProtectionBound Tariffcapacity buildingcompetitive advantageCompetitivenessconsumerscountry marketsCustomsCustoms DutyDevelopment Assistancedevelopment strategydifferential treatmentDirect Paymentsdomestic pricesdomestic producersDomestic SupportDomestic Support PoliciesdumpingEconomic Cooperationeconomic efficiencyeconomic growthEmergency SafeguardsEuropean Unionexchange ratesExport Competitionexport creditexport salesexport sectorExport SubsidiesExport SubsidyExport Subsidy Commitmentsexporting countriesExportsfinal agreementFinal ProductsFood AidFood Importsfood productsfood securityforeign exchangefree accessGDPGDP per Capitaglobal economyglobal levelglobal marketsglobal tradeGlobal Trade Analysisglobal tradinghigh tariffsimport barriersImport CompetitionImport Quotaimporting countriesIncomeInternational Bankinternational communityinternational tradelabor intensiveLatin Americanmacroeconomic policiesmanufactured goodsMarket AccessMinisterial MeetingMost-Favored-Nation Tariffmultilateral negotiationsmultilateral trademultilateral trade agreementsmultilateral trade negotiationsmultilateral trade reformnatural resourcesnet effectNet ExportsOil Importsovervalued exchange ratesPhytosanitary Measurespolitical economypreferential accesspreferential tradepreferential trade policyPrice ChangesPrice Riskprotectionismpurchasing powerreduction commitmentsregional groupsspecial treatmentState TradingState Trading EnterprisesSub-Saharan AfricaSubsidized ExportsTariff RateTariff rate quotaTariff Rate QuotasTariff Ratestariff structurestaxationterms of tradetrade agreementstrade among developing countriesTrade Balancetrade barriersTrade Disputestrade distortionstrade effecttrade facilitationTrade Liberalizationtrade measuretrade measuresTrade NegotiationsTrade PolicyTrade Policy Reformtrade policy reformsTrade Reformstrade regimestrade roundstrade taxestrade-distorting subsidiestrading systemTransition Economiesunilateral reductionUruguay RoundValue Addedworld marketworld marketsWorld PricesWorld TradeWorld Trade OrganizationWTOReforming Agricultural Trade for Developing Countries : Volume 1.
