Abstract
Doing Business in Malaysia 2020 focuses on business regulation and its enforcement across three Doing Business areas. The study goes beyond Kuala Lumpur to benchmark five other cities in the areas of dealing with construction permits and registering property. It also measures the process of trading across borders through four Malaysian ports. This study contains data current as of November 1, 2019, and includes comparisons with other economies based on data from Doing Business 2020. Doing Business measures aspects of regulation that enable or hinder entrepreneurs in starting, operating or expanding a business - and provides recommendations and good practices for improving the business environment.Citation
