Dr. Hippolyte Fofack is a World Bank professional and research economist, with over twenty years of international experience and an exceptional blend of management, research and operational experience. He holds an Advanced Degree in International Economics and Finance from the University of Bordeaux, France and a PhD in Applied Mathematics and Economics from American University, Washington, DC. More recently, Dr. Fofack was awarded a certificate of completion for the Cutting Edge of Development Thinking program, May 2011, Harvard University, John F. Kennedy School of Government, Executive Education.
Dr. Fofack is currently Senior Economist and Cluster Leader for Knowledge and Learning in the Poverty Reduction and Economic Management Network, the World Bank PREM Anchor. Previously, he was responsible for the Macroeconomic and Growth Program at the World Bank Institute, the knowledge and capacity building arm of the World Bank Group; he also served as Senior Country Economist for the Great Lakes Region of Africa and Research Economist with the Poverty Reduction and Economic Management Network. He has also taught and delivered lectures at various institutions around the world, including, American University, Brandeis University, Ohio State University, Tougaloo College, the African Development Bank, the Third World Academy of Sciences and the African Academy of Sciences.
