Maria Marta Ferreyra is a senior economist at the Office of the Chief Economist for Latin America and the Caribbean of the World Bank. Her research specializes in the Economics of Education, with special emphasis on the effects of large-scale reforms. She has conducted research on charter schools, private school vouchers, public school accountability, and school finance reform for primary and secondary education in the United States, and on higher education in Latin America and the Caribbean.
